What is The Project Swap?
We are a classified ads website that connects all car lovers across the United States. The Project Swap lets sellers post ads for parts, cars, tools & equipment, and memorabilia.
Community Guidelines
What are the rules for user interaction? Examples of inappropriate use of the comments include (but are not limited to):
- Foul language
- False information in ads
- Posting items that aren’t cars, parts, tools & equipment, and/or memorabilia
- Personal attacks
- Spamming
- Inappropriate images or descriptions in your profile/store
- Linking to inappropriate/illegal content of any kind
All comments/content on The Project Swap are moderated. We want to have a positive & uplifting community for all project car lovers.
Membership
We offer monthly memberships for unlimited ads for individuals and businesses
Business Membership: $29.95
This membership allows businesses to advertise on The Project Swap’s front page. The membership also includes 5 priority ads per 30 days.
Once you have purchased the business membership, please email support@theprojectswap.com with your company’s logo.

How do I create an account?
You can create an account by clicking Here and then provide your email, username, password and select submit.
How do I sign in if I already have created an account?
Please click the “My Account” tab on the menu or you can click Here
Once you have reached the “My Account” page. Use your email/username and password to log in.
What do I do if I forgot my password?
If you created your account with an email address and password, you will see a “Lost Password” link under the “Log In” button on the login page. Click the link and follow the instructions to reset your password.

How do I see my ad listings?
To see all of your ad listings, you can click the button below

How do I mark an ad as "Sold", edit or delete my ad?
Great Question! You will go to the “My Account” page. On the left-hand side, you will see a tab that is labeled “My Listings”. Each listing will give you 4 options: Promote, Edit, Delete, and Mark as Sold.

Seller Questions
How do I post an ad?
To post an Ad, you will have to click “Post Your Ad” or click the button below. You have to fill out the required fields to post your ad.

How much does it cost to post an ad?
The 1st ad is always free! All Regular Ads will cost $1.99 per ad and Priority Ads cost $3.99 per an add.
All Regular Ads are Completely Free!!!!
How long does an Ad stay up for?
All ads last 30 days on The Project Swap or until it’s sold.
What should I know about the sales process?
Here are some things to keep in mind:
- Sales of cars, parts, tools & equipment, and memorabilia are handled between users via posted ads on the website
- To post an ad, you must create an account
- Once the item has been sold, the user must mark the ad as “Sold” or delete the listing.
Store Questions
How to access & edit "Store"?
You can access your store on the “My Account” page. You have to be logged into your account to access it. Once you have reached the “My Account” page. You will see the “Store” tab on the My Account sidebar
You can edit your store banner, logo, hours, and information. Once you are done editing your store, make sure to click the “Update Store” button below Store Information.
Payment/Billing
How do I access my payments?
The “Payment” tab is on the “My Account” page.
Click the button to access the “Payments” tabs.
Events Page
How do I post an event?
If you have a car-related event that you want to post on The Project Swap. Please click the link below and fill out the form at the bottom of the page.
*Please allow 48-72 hours for post to be approved*
Safety
When meeting someone for the first time, please remember to:
- Insist on a public meeting place like a cafe, bank, or shopping center.
- Do not meet in a secluded place, or invite strangers into your home.
- Be especially careful buying/selling high-value items.
- Tell a friend or family member where you’re going.
- Take your cell phone along if you have one.
- Have a friend accompany you at a meetup
- Transactions are between users only, no third party provides a “guarantee”
- Never give out financial info (bank account, social security, paypal account, etc).
- Trust your instincts.
